There’s nothing quite like the 4th of July in Flagler Beach. Flags line A1A, families stake out their spots along the coast road, and the annual “Stars & Stripes” Holiday Parade brings the whole community out to celebrate together with an oceanfront view.
This year’s parade, once again presented by the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach, kicks off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, rolling down SR A1A/Oceanshore Boulevard between North 6th Street and South 6th Street. If you caught the winter Holiday at the Beach Parade, the route and traffic pattern will look familiar.
Whether you’re marching in it, cheering from the sidewalk, or just trying to get to the beach that morning, here’s what you need to know.
Road Closures & Detours
A1A/Oceanshore Boulevard will close to vehicle traffic along the parade route, with detours set up at North 10th Street and South 7th Street. Police officers will be stationed along the detour route to keep things moving, and the department is asking drivers to be patient — the closure is expected to last under two hours.
South 2nd Street will also close between A1A and South Central Avenue.
If You’re Driving on SR100
Eastbound traffic on SR100 can still reach businesses between Flagler Avenue and Central Avenue, but won’t have direct access to Oceanshore Boulevard during the parade.
- Heading north toward Beverly Beach? Turn left on North Flagler Avenue and follow the detour.
- Heading south toward Ormond Beach? Turn right on South Flagler Avenue and follow the detour.
If You’re Driving on A1A
- Northbound traffic will be diverted west around the parade at 7th Street South.
- Southbound traffic will be diverted west around the parade at 10th Street North.
Parade participants will use Daytona Avenue (north and south) to return to the staging area at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.
