Saturday, November 11th, 2023, at 10am; Bunnell, Palm Coast, Flagler County and many other organizations, parties and participants came together to host the first annual Veteran’s Day Parade since 1963.
The parade started at the old Coquina City Hall in Bunnell, extending down SR100, to the Government Services Building. Over 50 participants were apart of this parade.
Residents from all over Flagler County came and lined the streets of Moody Blvd, to cheer on those participating in the parade. Many of those in the parade were veterans, including Congressman Michael Waltz, Chair of the BOCC Greg Hansen, Greg Sullivan, and more.
The parade was a festive and patriotic event allowing the community to come and support the veterans who participated in the parade, as well as all of the veterans in our community.
If you missed this year’s parade, mark your calendars for next year, when the 2nd Annual Veteran’s Day Parade occurs.
There are still three more local parades that will be happening this year, the Flagler Beach Christmas parade with parachuting Santa on December 2nd, the Starlight parade in Palm Coast on December 16th, and the Boat Parade down the intracoastal from European village to the Gazebo in Grand Haven on December 9th.
