PALM COAST, FL (October 4, 2023) – In recognition of the invaluable contributions and cultural richness of the Hispanic and Latino community, Palm Coast Mayor David Alfin officially proclaimed September 15th to October 15th as Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of Palm Coast. This annual observance pays tribute to the generations of Hispanic and Latino Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our society.
The Palm Coast-Flagler Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Business Alliance was honored to receive the proclamation on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Palm Coast City Hall.
Mayor Alfin emphasized the importance of unity and understanding, stating, “Hispanic Heritage Month provides us with an opportunity to embrace the remarkable diversity that enriches our community. By learning from one another and celebrating our shared values, we can build bridges of understanding and create a more inclusive future. We are proud to honor and celebrate the Hispanic and Latino community’s enduring legacy in our city. Their contributions to our arts, culture, economy, and civic life have made Palm Coast a stronger and more vibrant place to live. This month is an opportunity for all residents to learn, appreciate, and share in the richness of our Hispanic and Latino heritage.”
