The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Palm Coast man following an investigation into a minor’s disclosure that he had molested her on multiple occasions.
The investigation began June 4 after a family member of the minor victim contacted the Flagler County Emergency Communications Center and reported the victim had disclosed two incidents in which Christopher Campbell, 35, of Palm Coast, had inappropriately touched her in a sexual manner.
FCSO Major Case Unit detectives responded to investigate. During their investigation, detectives interviewed the victim, reviewed home surveillance video, and conducted additional interviews. Detectives determined the evidence was consistent with the victim’s disclosures and obtained a warrant for Campbell’s arrest for two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation.

On Sept. 18, the FCSO Fugitive Apprehension Unit, with assistance from the Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit and Special Investigations Unit, located Campbell at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Palm Coast and arrested him on his active warrant. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.
“This case is a reminder to everyone why they need to listen and take it seriously when a child says something is wrong,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “I commend this brave child for speaking up, her family for listening, and our detectives for building this case. Any perverts who prey on Flagler County children will be found, will be arrested, go to jail and will face justice.”
Campbell has an extensive arrest history, with previous arrests for charges including possession of a controlled substance, larceny, DWI, and violation of probation.
