The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Palm Coast residents after they fled a crash that injured another driver and hid their damaged truck inside a garage to avoid being caught.
On Aug. 28, deputies responded to the intersection of Russell Drive and Ruth Drive in Palm Coast for a hit-and-run crash. A silver Dodge Ram pick-up truck had struck another vehicle with enough force to break its engine block and injure the driver. Rather than remain at the scene as required by law, both occupants of the truck exited, collected the truck’s broken-off parts from the roadway, and fled the scene.
A witness reported seeing a silver Dodge Ram with front-end damage speeding from the area, and a tip later led deputies to a home on Roxbury Lane in Palm Coast, less than a mile from the crash. A neighbor’s surveillance camera had captured the damaged truck returning to the home approximately three minutes after the crash, with one occupant running to the front door while the other opened the garage. The truck was then driven inside, and the garage door was closed.
Deputies identified the driver as Nina Holley, 43, of Palm Coast, and the passenger as Matthew Green, 38, of Palm Coast. The investigation determined Holley’s driver’s license was already suspended and that she had four prior convictions for driving while license suspended.

“You can try to hide the evidence, but you can’t hide it from the Sheriff’s Office. These two crashed into someone, injured them, and then figured picking up the pieces and shutting the garage door would make it all disappear,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “If you cause a crash and run, we are going to find you and hold you accountable.”
Deputies arrested Holley for leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, tampering with evidence, and driving with a suspended license as a third or subsequent offense. Deputies arrested Green for tampering with evidence and accessory after the fact. Deputies transported both to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. Holley was released on $7,500 bond. Green is being held on no bond.
Holley is no stranger to the Flagler County criminal justice system. Her record includes two felony convictions for selling or possessing controlled substances with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school or park, for which she served about two years in state prison, as well as multiple convictions for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She has also been convicted of felony petit theft, retail theft, and trespassing.
Green also has a lengthy history in Flagler County. He has served three separate terms in state prison for convictions that include felony sale of oxycodone, attempted robbery, grand theft of a firearm, and attempted burglary of a structure, and he was released from his most recent prison term in June 2025. He also has multiple convictions for battery and retail theft.
This was not the first time deputies had been to that Roxbury Lane home this summer. On Aug. 6, the FCSO Special Investigations Unit, Major Case Unit, and SWAT team served a search warrant at the same residence as part of an ongoing overdose death investigation, seizing fentanyl and drug paraphernalia and arresting three people. Among those arrested was Matthew Green, who was charged with possession of fentanyl, tampering with evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. That investigation remains ongoing.
