Sheriff Staly Halts Use of Flock Cameras, But Not Other License Plate Readers and Surveillance Means

Joining numerous other law enforcement agencies and in accordance with a state order applying to state rights-of-way, Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly suspended the use of Flock Safety automated license plate readers but continues using other surveillance technologies to ensure public safety. He attributes the statewide backlash to political reactions and abuses by a few bad-apple cases in other agencies and defends the monitored technology as essential to crime-fighting.
