The City of Palm Coast is bringing back one of its most popular family events this weekend. The 6th Annual Touch-a-Truck takes over Central Park in Town Center on Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with dozens of public safety, emergency, and commercial vehicles on display for the community to explore up close.
What to Expect
The event gives children and families the chance to get hands-on with a wide variety of fleet vehicles from across the region. This year’s lineup includes trucks and equipment from multiple City of Palm Coast departments, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Flagler County Fire Rescue, Flagler County Emergency Management, the Bunnell Police Department, the Flagler Beach Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol, Ring Power, Broderick Valor, and more.
Beyond the vehicles, the event will also feature family activities, local vendors, and a Food Court.
Sensory-Friendly Hour
For families with children who are sensitive to loud noises, the event offers a dedicated sensory-friendly hour from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM — one hour before the general event begins — during which no horns will be sounded.
City Manager Weighs In
Palm Coast City Manager Mike McGlothlin, who is attending the event for the first time since taking the role, expressed enthusiasm for the program. “Since becoming City Manager, I’ve learned a lot about this event from our staff that work diligently to bring it to life each year and I’m really looking forward to it,” he said. “Any time you can make a personal connection with community outreach is a big win, and this event is a perfect example of that.”
Food Truck Lineup
Twelve food trucks will be on-site during the event: Borinquen Cravings, Kona Ice, TABS, Traveling Tom’s Coffee, Sweet Sheila’s Funnel Cake, MAMA T’s Bakery, Wicked Good Mini Donuts, The Sugared Lemon, Crazy Good Eats, Andrea’s Italian Ice, This Guy’s Fries, and Down Home Goodies.
Where and When
Touch-a-Truck will be held at Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave, Palm Coast. The sensory-friendly hour runs from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, with the general event open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Admission information was not included in the city’s announcement.
