Palm Coast Invites Community to Memorial Day Ceremony Featuring New Tribute to Fallen Service Members

The City of Palm Coast will hold its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Heroes Memorial Park. The public is invited to attend at no cost.

The ceremony is designed to honor members of the United States Armed Forces who died in service to the country. Organizers say the event serves as an opportunity for the community to pause and reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day beyond the holiday itself.

The program will include presentations and remarks centered on the significance of Memorial Day and the gratitude owed to fallen service members. A ceremonial wreath presentation will also take place as a symbol of the community’s collective remembrance.

New to this year’s ceremony is a segment called the “Community Recognition of the Fallen,” in which attendees will be invited to step forward and share the names and service histories of their own loved ones who died while serving in the military. The addition is intended to make the recognition more personal and inclusive for families in attendance.

Following the formal ceremony, participants are invited to take part in an Honor Walk — a quiet procession around the park. Attendees are encouraged to stop at each monument, observe a moment of silence or prayer, and leave a flower as a tribute. The city describes the walk as a personal opportunity to connect with the significance of the day in a meaningful way.

Heroes Memorial Park is located in Palm Coast. More information about the ceremony and other city events is available at www.palmcoastgov.com.
