Will Furry, the incumbent Flagler County School Board member for District 2, has officially qualified for the November ballot through the petition process, his campaign announced on May 5, 2026.
Qualifying by petition requires a candidate to collect a set number of verified signatures from registered voters within the district — an alternative to paying a qualifying fee. Furry’s campaign said the successful petition drive reflects community support for his continued service.
“This milestone is about more than just getting on the ballot,” Furry said. “It represents the trust and encouragement of neighbors, parents, and community members who believe in the work we’ve been doing and the direction we’re heading.”
Furry has served as the District 2 School Board member for four years. He said the decision to qualify by petition was intentional and consistent with how he has approached his time in office. “I put in the work to qualify — just like I’ve done every day over the last four years serving this community,” Furry said. “I didn’t take shortcuts then, and I’m not taking them now. I believe in showing up, listening, and doing the job the right way.”
His campaign said his priorities for a second term include improving academic outcomes, supporting teachers, and ensuring responsible use of taxpayer dollars.
