Army Veteran, Business Owner, and Community Leader Enters Race for Palm Coast City Council District 4

Ramon Marrero, a bilingual Palm Coast resident with more than 40 years of experience in public service, business, and civic leadership, has officially announced he is running for the District 4 seat on the Palm Coast City Council.

Ramon Marrero has announced his candidacy for Palm Coast City Council, District 4. Marrero, a longtime Palm Coast resident, describes himself as a community leader, veteran, and businessman with more than 40 years of experience across public service, business, finance, and community involvement. He says his campaign will center on responsible growth, public safety, infrastructure improvements, fiscal accountability, support for local businesses, and transparent government.

Why he says he is running

Military and professional background

Marrero served honorably in the U.S. Army and the National Guard, earning the Army Commendation Medal for exceptional service. After his military career, he went on to work in banking, mortgage lending, management, and small business ownership. He is the owner of MOTANO Productions in Palm Coast, a local business he launched and operated, creating jobs in the region. He has also worked as a substitute teacher in local school districts.

Civic involvement

In addition to his professional history, Marrero has been active in the community. He founded and serves as president of the Hispanic American Cultural Society in Palm Coast and is a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the most recent City of Palm Coast Charter Review Committee, the citizen panel that examines and recommends changes to the city’s governing document. Marrero is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and says he is committed to representing all residents of the district.
