Investigative Services Division Chief Agustin “Augie” Rodriguez has graduated from Class 18 of the Florida Sheriffs Association’s Commanders Academy, one of the most respected leadership programs in the state.
What the Commanders Academy is
The Florida Sheriffs Association’s Commanders Academy is structured around the unique needs of sheriffs’ offices, setting it apart from general law enforcement training programs. Participants from agencies across Florida work through a curriculum covering leadership, ethics, discipline, and other topics relevant to running a modern law enforcement agency. A portion of the curriculum is adjusted each year to address emerging issues and trends affecting Florida sheriffs’ offices specifically.
“The FSA Commanders Academy is one of the premier leadership training opportunities in the state and the only one that focuses on the unique needs of a Florida Sheriff’s Office. Chief Rodriguez does an outstanding job leading our Investigative Services Division, and he will continue to excel as a leader with the skills he gained from this program. I congratulate Chief Rodriguez for successfully completing this two-week course.”
