Wadsworth Skate Park will close December 3-22 for significant upgrades and renovations.
Approximately 60% of the skate park equipment, including ramps and grind rails, will be replaced during the three-week closure. The park will also receive a new chainlink fence.
“We will also make necessary concrete repairs,” said Flagler County General Service Director Mike Dickson. “The adjacent bathroom will also be repainted.”
The improvements will cost $240,000.
“This equipment has been well-used, and it shows,” Dickson said. “Our skateboarders, and their parents, will be happy to see the changes.”
Wadsworth Park is located at 2200 Moody Boulevard in Flagler Beach. The rest of the park will remain open during the renovations.
