The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office shut down two Palm Coast drug houses in two days following narcotics-related search warrants after a five-month investigation into a local drug trafficking organization.

In the early morning of July 1, Sheriff Rick Staly, FCSO’s Special Investigations Unit, and SWAT team served a search warrant at 21-A Rosecroft Lane. There, they located and apprehended Ryan McArthur, 37, a fugitive with an active warrant from Volusia County, Florida, for trafficking in fentanyl. McArthur initially refused to comply with orders to exit the residence through the front door, and SWAT team members located him through a bathroom window, where they saw him actively trying to destroy narcotics by flushing them down the toilet. The SWAT team breached the window and again ordered McArthur to exit the residence, which he eventually did.

During the search of the residence, detectives located and seized fentanyl, as well as various drug paraphernalia items, seven cell phones, and $2,840 in cash.

Detectives arrested McArthur for possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest without violence, and his out-of-county warrant. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

The following morning, Sheriff Staly, SIU, and the SWAT team served another search warrant at 45 Bruning Lane. There, they apprehended Eric Lamb, 38, on the patio behind the house.

During the search of the residence, detectives located and seized methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia with cocaine residue.

Detectives arrested Lamb for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, detectives determined that Lamb violated probation from prior arrests in both Flagler and Volusia counties. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

“They say the early bird catches the worm… well, our SIU and SWAT team had two early mornings in a row, because the early bird catches the drug dealer, too!” said Sheriff Staly. “This was excellent work by all of the detectives and deputies involved to shut down drug houses and eradicate these drug businesses from our neighborhoods. If you’re a drug dealer in Flagler County, I suggest you get the hell out of Flagler County, because we’re coming for you next.”

During the search on Bruning Lane, deputies observed a doormat that said, “Come back with a warrant.” “They asked us to come back with a warrant, so we did,” Sheriff Staly added.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be added.
