Sheriff Rick Staly and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office are proud to announce the recipients of the Sheriff’s “Great Kid” Award for August 2026 — the first recipients for the 2026-27 school year. Investigative Services Division Chief Agustin “Augie” Rodriguez and Youth Services Commander Jennifer Nawrocki presented the awards on Oct. 1, alongside school resource deputies and school officials, to three exceptional students at Flagler County schools.

“We’re excited to continue our tradition of recognizing these outstanding students,” said Sheriff Staly. “These three students started the year strong by demonstrating a good work ethic, leadership, and a positive attitude.”

The “Great Kid” Awards are presented each month during the school year to three students — one each in the elementary, middle, and high school levels — who respect their peers, help others, work hard in academics, and represent themselves and their school well. SRDs and school employees nominate the recipients.
