The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Investigative Services Division Chief Augie Rodriguez has graduated from the FBI Florida Executive Development Seminar Session XXVII. The seminar, which is sponsored by the FBI and the Florida FBI National Academy Associates Inc., was held in Destin from Sept. 13-18.

“The Florida Executive Development Seminar is a focused, week-long course that not only covers law enforcement best practices but also provides leaders with networking opportunities to enhance leadership skills, foster collaboration, and strengthen partnerships to help improve public safety across our state,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “We are proud of Chief Rodriguez and appreciate our partnership with the FBI and the FBINAA.”
Chief Rodriguez joined the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in 2012 and has served in law enforcement for 16 years. In 2025, he was promoted to Division Chief of the Investigative Services Division, which includes all investigative services, criminal intelligence, crime scene investigations, cybercrimes, problem area crime enforcement, homeland security, evidence, school resource deputies, and FCSO’s Real Time Crime Center.
The FBI established FEDS as a training program designed to provide executive and management training to Florida chiefs of police, Sheriffs, and their command staff. It is an intensive 40-hour course that includes core topics on leadership, management, ethics, dealing with the news media, and other topics of interest to Florida’s law enforcement leaders.
