The Palm Coast City Council approved the coming fiscal year’s budget and property tax rate during a brief final hearing. Council members had resolved previous disputes by restoring funding for two sheriff deputies through departmental cuts. The budget includes significant borrowing and drawing down the reserves to settle buy land in Town Center as part of a settlement of a lawsuit with the Town Center developer.
