The Flagler Home Builders Association (Flagler HBA) has provided 96 fully stocked backpacks to children in Flagler County through its annual Backpack Drive, helping students prepare for the upcoming school year.
Each backpack is filled with essential school supplies. According to the association, any money left over from the drive is used to buy classroom items from local teachers’ wish lists, extending the effort into the schools themselves.
This year’s sponsor
The association named Intracoastal Construction as this year’s Presenting Sponsor. Along with financial support, Intracoastal Construction hosted the backpack stuffing event at its office, where members gathered to assemble the backpacks. The company also hosted a free networking event immediately after the packing event, giving members another chance to connect.
The Flagler HBA also recognized support from Saltwater Homes, Architectural Granite, Hunter Quinn Homes, INB Homes, Hayward Brown of Flagler, DDR Roofing, Shade Number Seven, Space Coast Credit Union, and its Foundation Partners.
The association thanked Joe’s New York Pizza & Pasta for donating the meal for all of the volunteers.
