Judicial Candidate to Host Public Meet-and-Greet in Ormond Beach on May 20

Carleen A. Leffler, a candidate for circuit judge in Florida’s Seventh Judicial Circuit, will hold a public campaign kickoff event on Wednesday, May 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Ormond Brewing Company, 301 Division Ave., Unit 15, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. The event is open to both the public and media.

What the Event Is

The meet-and-greet is designed to give voters in the circuit a chance to meet Leffler in person, learn about her background and qualifications, and ask questions directly. No registration information was included in the announcement.

Leffler described her reasons for holding the event. “I’m looking forward to meeting community members and sharing why I’m running for circuit judge,” she said. “This kickoff is an opportunity to connect with residents throughout the Seventh Judicial Circuit and discuss the importance of a judiciary strengthened by diverse legal experience and broad professional perspectives prior to taking the bench.”

The Race and the Circuit

Leffler is running for Group 26 of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, which covers Volusia, Flagler, Putnam, and St. Johns counties. Circuit judges in Florida handle a wide range of cases, including criminal, civil, family, and probate matters.
