Flagler County Health and Human Services is hosting its “Flagler Spring Outreach” event on Thursday, May 15, 2026, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Cattleman’s Hall at the Flagler County Fairgrounds, located at 150 Sawgrass Road in Bunnell. The event is free and open to all residents.
More than 30 local agencies and service providers will be on-site to offer information and, in some cases, immediate assistance. Grace Food Pantry will provide free food, and Flagler Technical College will offer free haircuts. Other services available at the event cover a wide range of needs, including behavioral health, housing assistance, legal aid, early childhood programs, senior services, emergency management, women’s health, substance abuse recovery, disability support, homeless services, and more.
Health and Human Services Director Joseph Hegedus said the event is designed to remove the barriers that often prevent people from getting help. “Sometimes the only reason people don’t get help is that they aren’t exactly sure what they need or where to find assistance,” Hegedus said. “We’re here so no one slips through the cracks.”
Hegedus also credited Human Services Program Manager Kim Bennett for organizing the gathering of so many agencies in one place. “Human Services Program Manager Kim Bennett worked very hard to bring as many resources as possible to this event,” he said. “This is what community services is all about — people and organizations coming together to help one another in Flagler County.”
Among the agencies attending are Easter Seals Early Steps, the Flagler County Free Clinic, Family Life Center, the Early Learning Coalition, Flagler OARS, Flagler Cares, EPIC Behavioral Health, Oxford House, Flagler County Community Paramedicine, SMA Healthcare, SMA Access Center, the City of Palm Coast Community Development office, Flagler Family Assistance Center, Disability Solutions, Alpha Women’s Center, Seniors vs. Crime, Flagler County Senior Services, the Palm Coast Lions Club, the Flagler County Schools FIT Program, the Florida Department of Health-Flagler WIC program, the Volusia/Flagler Homeless Coalition, Florida Legal Services, the Flagler County Drug Court Foundation, Foundation to Freedom, Loads of Smiles, the Daytona State TRiO Program, and Flagler County Emergency Management.
