Three Flagler County Students Honored as Sheriff’s “Great Kids” for March 2026

A high school IB athlete, a middle schooler who volunteers across her school every afternoon, and a fifth grader known for perseverance and leadership are this month’s recipients of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Great Kid Award.

Sheriff Rick Staly and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office announced the recipients of the monthly “Great Kid” Award for March 2026. The awards were presented by Chief Deputy Joe Barile, Investigative Services Division Chief Agustin “Augie” Rodriguez, Youth Services Section Commander Jennifer Nawrocki, and School Resource Unit Sergeant Shane Meehan, alongside school resource deputies and school officials at each campus.

The Great Kid Award is given each month during the school year to three students — one at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Recipients are nominated by school resource deputies and school employees and are recognized for respecting their peers, helping others, working hard academically, and representing their schools in a positive way.

“These students represent the very best of Flagler County. They lead with integrity, kindness, and determination — in the classroom, on the field, and in the way they treat others. We’re proud to recognize them as truly deserving of this award.”
