Flagler Schools Joins Statewide Campaign to Highlight Public School Successes

Flagler Schools has joined a statewide effort to raise awareness about the positive impact of Florida’s public schools.

The district announced its participation in “Florida’s Future: Powered by Public Schools,” a communications initiative launched in partnership with the Florida Association of District School Superintendents. The coordinated campaign aims to elevate public awareness of the value and achievements of public schools across the state.

According to campaign organizers, school districts throughout Florida achieve remarkable outcomes daily through student achievements, innovative programs, and community partnerships. However, these stories often remain isolated within individual districts. The new initiative seeks to highlight school district successes, innovations, and achievements, as well as the diverse school choice options available within Florida’s public school system.

The campaign launch coincides with the recent announcement of record-breaking graduation rates statewide. Florida reported a 92.2% high school graduation rate for the 2024-25 school year, a historic high. Flagler Schools also saw its graduation rate climb to 90% for the same school year.

The initiative will focus on the programs, people, and positive outcomes resulting from the work of students, teachers, administrators, school staff, volunteers, and community partnerships. By uniting around shared messaging and amplifying local success stories, participating school districts aim to reinforce the value of Florida’s public schools.
