Rotary Club’s Fantasy Lights Celebrates 20 Years, Raises $34,000 for Flagler County

The Rotary Club of Flagler County Foundation celebrated a major milestone this holiday season as its 20th annual Fantasy Lights Festival raised more than $34,000 to support local nonprofit organizations and scholarships for Flagler County high school seniors.

The festival, held from November 29 through December 30 at Central Park in Palm Coast, featured 57 illuminated displays and welcomed thousands of families who have made Fantasy Lights part of their holiday tradition. Since the event began in 2006, Fantasy Lights has raised nearly $410,000 to benefit the Flagler County community.

Bill Butler, event co-chair, reflected on the festival’s origins and growth. “Fantasy Lights started as my daughter Tiffany’s vision, and seeing it grow over 20 years has been incredible,” Butler said. “It’s the passion of our volunteers, the generosity of our sponsors, and the joy of families returning each year that truly bring this tradition to life.”

The proceeds from the festival are reinvested directly into Flagler County, benefiting local nonprofit partners and providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors.

Palm Coast Mayor Mike Norris praised the event’s impact on the community. “Fantasy Lights brings people together in a way few events can,” Mayor Norris said. “It celebrates the season while strengthening our community through charitable giving. We are grateful to the Rotary Club of Flagler County for continuing this cherished tradition.”

What started in 2006 with just 16 light displays has grown into Flagler County’s premier holiday event and a signature fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Flagler County.

Michelle Bartlome, president of the Rotary Club of Flagler County, spoke about the anniversary celebration. “Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Fantasy Lights was a proud moment for everyone who helped make this event possible,” Bartlome said. “We thank our sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and everyone who attended for supporting this tradition and the lasting impact it has in Flagler County.”
