CITY REPERTORY THEATRE CELEBRATES 15 YEARS WITH COMEDY, DRAMA, AND MUSIC

By-Line: John Sbordone, Artistic Director, City Repertory Theatre

City Repertory Theatre turns 15 this year, and the company is celebrating with audience favorites from previous seasons, new works, a special concert series, and more. The season opens September 19, 2025,  with Avenue Q – the Tony Award-winning, raunchy puppet romp that originally played at CRT in 2014. Next up is  Around the World in 80 Days – beginning Nov. 14. A high-spirited and hilarious adaptation of Verne’s novel featuring just 5 actors playing all the roles, “80 Days” was last produced by CRT as an outdoor production during  COVID. Rounding out the fall season is It’s a Wonderful Life. This classic holiday script, last seen on the CRT stage  in 2012, will be performed as a radio play beginning on Dec. 5

CRT’s spring season begins on Jan 9, 2026, with Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill. Laniece Fagundes will once again be featured in this medita, on by music about the last few days in the life of jazz great Billie Holiday. The  Colored Museum, a new work for CRT, opens on Feb. 20, 2026. Playwright George C. Wolfe’s sa;ric sketches target America’s most pernicious stereotypes of Black culture in this provocative work.

Yasmina Reza’s Art was part of CRT’s first season in 2012, but when it reappears on March 20, 2026, it will be reimagined with an all-female cast. Our season finale, beginning April 24, is an evening of one-acts. Israel  Horowitz’s Line, which was last seen at CRT in 2013, will be paired with selections from David Ives’ All in the  Timing, which returns from 2021.

Laced through the season is our concert series – Evenings With . . . These concerts take advantage of CRT’s intimate venue and feature actors and musicians from the CRT resident company. Concerts are currently scheduled for October, February, and April.

All performances take place at City Repertory Theatre, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, B-207, Palm Coast. A black-box theater with just 45 seats, CRT’s space highlights the work of its talented actors while it draws the audience close to the action. Season tickets are available by calling the box office at 386-585-9415 or by visiting crtpalmcoast.com.  Season subscribers pay just $165 for all seven plays – a 10% discount off single ticket prices. Single tickets and tickets for the Evening With… concerts are also available online at crtpalmcoast.com. For more information about tickets, contact Diane Ellertsen at 386-585-9415.
