Sheriff Staly has served on the FSA Board of Directors for the past five years, including terms as Vice Chair, Chair, and, most recently, as FSA Treasurer. His term as Treasurer in 2024 marked a historic milestone as being the first elected FSA Officer in the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office’s history.

During the Association’s Awards banquet, which was held in Davenport, Florida, Sheriff Rick Staly and fellow association officers were installed into their respective positions.

“It is both an honor and privilege to continue my service on the FSA Board of Directors as Secretary, and I look forward to working alongside an exceptional group of leaders to further support the FSA’s mission and those we serve in a new capacity,” said Sheriff Staly.

“It is a tremendous honor for our residents that all Sheriffs in the State of Florida continually ask the Flagler County Sheriff to serve in important positions of statewide leadership. Having Sheriff Staly serve as a statewide leader in Florida law enforcement directly benefits Flagler County residents through greater opportunities to access resources and build valuable partnerships that help ensure Flagler County and communities across Florida remain the safest in Florida and America,” said Flagler County Commission Chairman Andy Dance.

The Florida Sheriffs Association is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation made up of the 67 sheriffs of Florida, plus more than 100,000 honorary members, business leaders, and law-enforcement officers throughout the state. It is the largest state law enforcement association in the nation.
