On Friday, deputies and U.S. Marshals apprehended Terrion Campbell, 34, of Ormond Beach, a fugitive with multiple felony warrants from Volusia County. Campbell was wanted for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, resisting arrest without violence, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in fentanyl (28 grams or more), and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement at high speed.

Deputies arrested Campbell on his active warrants without incident. Campbell was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond while awaiting extradition to Volusia County.

“Another out-of-county fugitive learned the hard way that he can’t hide in Flagler County,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “We work with our law enforcement partners to find fugitives, give them a brief stay at the Green Roof Inn, then send them back to wherever they’re wanted to ensure they face the consequences of their crimes.”

Man Driving with Suspended License Arrested for Narcotics Possession

On Saturday morning, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck with illegal window tint. When deputies made contact with the driver, Brandon Roberts, 40, of Gainesville, Florida, he stated that he did not have a valid driver’s license, as it had been suspended after a previous DUI conviction.

While measuring the window tint, deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When deputies asked Roberts if he had any drugs in the vehicle, Roberts handed them a backpack containing four plastic bags containing 185 grams of marijuana, a scale with marijuana residue, 12 THC pens, THC gummies, and other drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested Roberts for driving while license suspended with knowledge (second offense), possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of hashish, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“This guy should not have been driving on the road, and now he’s in the Green Roof Inn facing felony drug charges,” said Sheriff Staly.

Roberts was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he was later released on a $6,000 bond.
