Flagler County Cultural Council Holds Annual Membership Meeting

October 20th, 2023, the Flagler County Cultural Council held their annual membership meeting, going over the last year in review, as well as plans for the future. The FC3 also unveiled their new website at this meeting, outlining it’s current status, as well as how it will continue to grow as the Council continues to expand.

Members of the council as well as non-members were in attendance to hear about the progress of the Council and it’s future. Among those in attendance were Mayor  David Alfin and BOCC Commissioner Greg Sullivan.

During the year in review presentation, Chair Nancy Crouch told those in attendance, what has been accomplished. They received their 501C3 status in August of 2022, and received secured funding from the BOCC in August 2023. The FC3 was also the feature spotlight for the August 2023 Food Truck Tuesday event. The Council is also working on a strategic plan that will outline how they will move forward helping all of the historical and art organizations in the county. It was also noted that the FC3 sponsored the 18th annual student photog contest and scholarship at Creekside Festival.

During the presentation the Flagler County Cultural Council unveiled their new website. They recently started working with ZGraph in August of 2023, to create and maintain their new website.

When talking about future plans for the FC3, there was mention of a Music in the Park series next year. The Council also announced that there will be two new turtles that will be added to the trail. They also have an upcoming event, the Fall Festival that is partially sponsored by the City of Palm Coast, on November 12th, 2023.
